Alexandre Lacazette becomes Arsenal’s 111th Premier League goalscorer [Full list]

Alexandre Lacazette’s goal after 82 seconds in Arsenal’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Leicester City on the opening night of the 2017-18 Premier League season saw the club’s record signing become their 111th goalscorer in Premier League history.

Despite taking a very early lead, Arsenal twice fell behind to the visitors before two goals in the final 10 minutes ensured that Arsène Wenger’s side got off to a winning start.

Danny Welbeck had made it 2-2 in first half stoppage time, scoring his 11th Premier League goal of the club – 1 more than Mathieu Flamini to move him into sole position as the 37th highest scorer for Arsenal since the league was rebranded in 1992.

Two substitutes scored the two most important goals for Arsenal – Aaron Ramsey with an excellent first touch and finish meant he is now tied for 13th position in the Gunners’ scoring chart – as many as Kanu scored during his time in North London.

Olivier Giroud’s winner was his 100th for the club in all competitions and his 70th in the Premier League.  The French striker is still 17 goals behind Dennis Bergkamp in fourth spot however.

As for Lacazette, he is has now scored as many Premier League goals for Arsenal as the likes of John Jensen, Jérémie Aliadière and Scott Marshall!
