1 – Queens Park Rangers became the first Premier League team to prevent Robin van Persie from scoring in either fixture against them this season. 12 – Manchester United have a 12-point lead at the top of the Premier League with 11 games remaining. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have dropped just 13 points from their opening 27 fixtures. Elsewhere in Europe’s top 4 leagues, Barcelona are 12 points clear in La Liga, Bayern Munich are 17 points clear in the Bundesliga and Juventus are 6 points clear in Serie A.
12 – Rickie Lambert’s goal against Newcastle on Sunday means the Southampton striker has scored 12 goals in his debut Premier League season – the most amongst Englishmen.
15 – Gareth Bale has scored 15 Premier League goals from midfield this season. His brace including his wonder strike winner at Upton Park on Monday night means 11 of these have come away from White Hart Lane.
15 – Wigan Athletic have lost the most games in the Premier League this season. Roberto Martinez’s side are however outside the relegation zone, by virtue of a better goal difference than Aston Villa.
400 – Sylvain Distin made his 400th Premier League appearance on Saturday and became the first non-British outfield player to do so in the process.
